Alliance Française de Blantyre is a Language and Cultural Centre located in the city of Blantyre. It was officially opened on 28th November 2024. Alliance Française de Blantyre was first of all well known as Jacaranda Cultural Center and Maison de la France which was for eight years the cultural and language hub of the city of Blantyre in Malawi.
Alliance Française de Blantyre’s goals are to promote French language and Francophone cultures; teach French language; and also advocate for linguistic and cultural diversity by promoting Malawian cultures and languages and allowing intercultural exchanges between its visitors from francophone countries and the people of Malawi.
Alliance Française de Blantyre also hosts the French Consular agency in Malawi (The Alliance director Luc Deschamps is also France Honorary Consul in Blantyre).
